Cocking
Get in touchDistance from the South Downs Way: Less than a mile
Cocking is less than a mile, or a 15-minute stroll, from the South Downs Way. We would definitely recommend using either of the two footpaths rather than the busy A268 – much safer!
The historic village of Cocking is situated three miles south of Midhurst and some 35 miles from Winchester along the South Downs Way. There is evidence of a Bronze Age settlement here and an entry in the Domesday (Doomsday) book. Fast forward to the 21st Century and this is now a pleasant village with some excellent dining and accommodation options.
