At the trail’s starting point, this spectacular cathedral is just one example of Winchester’s stunning historic architecture.

Traditional pubs

The South Downs has countless classic English pubs, some of them right on or very close to the trail.

Pop up cafes

If time allows, take a detour to one of the region’s award-winning vineyards, such as Rathfinny or Nyetimber, for a wine tasting experience with a view.

Cissbury Ring
